Given: Sides of triangle: 8cm, 10cm, 14cm

8 cm10 cm14 cm

To find: Perimeter(P) and Area(A) of triangle

Solution: First lets find the perimeter of the triangle. P=a+b+cP=8+10+14P=32cmTherefore, the perimeter of the given triangle is 32cm.

Now lets find the semi perimeter of the triangle.
As we know that, semi perimeter is half of the perimeter,

s=P2s=322s=16cm

Now, as per the Heron’s formula, we know;

A=s(sa)(sb)(sc)=16(168)(1610)(1614)=16×8×6×2=42×96=4×96=4×16×6=4×42×6=4×4×6=166cm2Therefore, the area of the given triangle is 166cm2.
